Hull Colour Pages Directories
  • 1954- Golden Pages was developed from the UK’s first classified Directory
  • 1992 - The Hull Area Telephone & Telex Directory split into Residential and Business to create 2 directories
  • 1993 – We won the contract to produce the Isle of Man Telephone Directory
  • 1993 – Manx Telecom Phonebook won directory of the year at the DPA Awards
  • 1998 – We were the first in the UK to produce a full colour directory
  • 1999 – We changed the name of the Hull Area Telephone & Telex Directory to Hull Colour Pages
  • 1999 – The Hull Colour Pages Website was launched
  • 2003 – We won the BT out sourcing production contract
  • 2004 – We were the first UK directory to offer online proofing facilities
  • 2004 – We introduced the Refresh – schools recycling programme
  • 2005 – The ‘Proud to be Part of Local Life’ Brand was introduced
  • 2005 – We won advertising sales team of the year at the DPA Awards
  • 2006 – We won directory of the year consumer (Highly commended)
  • 2007 - We were the founder sponsors of the Hull Comedy Festival
  • 2007 - Unique numbers was introduced to each directory; this allows all end users to enter weekly competitions to win cash prizes
  • 2007 – The directory is printed on 60% recycled paper
  • 2007 – Introduced 188 288 premium Directory Enquiry service
  • 2007 – We sponsored the Globe Food Festival
  • 2008 – The National Youth Orchestra’s website was complete by our web team
  • 2008 – We started sponsoring the commentary for Hull City Football Clubs away games
  • 2008 - Hull Colour Pages Online positioned a direct link on the Karoo home page
  • 2008 – We introduced showroom sites, which are a basic three page website
  • 2008 – The ‘your local menus’ website was launched; this is a website which allows restaurants & takeaways to upload their menus for the general public to view. It also has an online booking facility
  • 2008 - Hull Colour Pages were shortlisted for Directory of the year, Sales team of the year, product development of the year and out standing achievement awards at the DPA Awards.
  • 2009 - Hull Colour Pages online introduced brand search facility
  • 2009 – We are introducing full colour advertising in to the residential Directory
